If You Are What You Say You Are...

... A SUPERSTAR

Little Man is the Superstar of the week in school! Excuse the wrinkles, I had to pull this from the trash (ahem, Dadda). If you can't tell, Teacher Laura noted that Colin loves puzzles, he likes to CLEAN UP, he shares and he is a nice friend. Gotta love having a clean two-year-old!

Speaking of cleaning, we started a little spring cleaning of our own this weekend:

This truckload of clothes is much too small for Colin - finally, some of it was from 12 months!

And because we are getting a little stir crazy and ready for spring, here's a video of Colin hitting a baseball without a tee for the first time!

It still amazes me how quickly they can go from one stage to the next. It's very exciting to be a part of and I'm so glad that I was there to throw the first pitch!

Hoosiers

We took a very last minute trip to Indiana for the weekend - Nashville, Indiana, to be exact. It's a cute, little town in Brown County. Interesting shops and home-cooking restaurants, all within walking distance. We will probably be back for a nice weekend stay.

Chris and I have our hearts set on buying a quaint (old & little) lake cottage someday. We envision taking our family to the cottage for a weekend getaway- peace, rest, family-time. I love it! The lake was beautiful but we will keep looking for the perfect spot.

Then we made our way up to Fort Wayne to hang out with the Zahms for cousin time! So sweet. Colin loves to visit with Hudson and Evan.

It was a beautiful weekend! The weather was perfect and we got in some great sight-seeing. Brown County, Indiana is beautiful and well worth another visit.

Happy Belated St. Patrick's Day!

Let Them Eat Cake!

We set up a special treat for Colin this weekend! We all hopped in the car and took a short ride up to Historic Milford.

We did a little antiquing and window shopping but the purpose of the trip was to go to this place:

Sugar Cupcakery

They make... cupcakes. And they are VERY good at it! But what makes these cupcakes so special?

This guy can eat them. That's right. They made us a special order of gluten-free, soy-free, egg-free cupcakes. Just the way he likes them.

What a 'sweet' way to start off the weekend!

Push Rewind...

Okay, so I've been slacking a little bit. Only because I've been playing around with - my new CAMERA! Honestly, I'm a little overwhelmed. It's a bit more complicated than I was expecting. Turns out, owning a Canon doesn't make you into a regular photography superstar! Who knew? But I'm working on it. Practice makes perfect, right? I've been taking pictures as often as I can. Colin has grumbled 'go away Mama' more than one time. Here are some of the goodies I've captured so far:

On another trip to the library...

And more puzzles...
that one is kinda artsy. i like it.

Family Movie Night- i made guacamole! i added a banana to the mix for texture and it was delicious! Colin thought so, too

he likes to have me take pictures of his 'bish'. the color is pretty amazing

it's march madness!
and he loves to 'dunk'

night night. with a soccer ball.
